July 15, 1990 - October 25, 2001

With great sadness I report the passing of ONE of our Breed's all time top winning bitches.  BIS, BISS Am/CAN CH. BYEYO'S CHAMPAGNE N'ICE, AM/CAN CD ROM,CGC, CAM.  Known to all as "TERRAPIN". After a long battle with cancer she passed on October 25, 2001.

Terrapin was a incredible show dog and always put her everything into showing.  She gave me something we all dream to have in a show dog, and Terrapin gave me it all!!! A Best in Show, Best In Specialty winner, Best of Breed at Westminster, 2 time Top Twenty winner (and the only bitch to do that) not to mention 2 years in row!!  AND not to be outdone in the show ring, she was one hell of a producer.  The dam of Multi Best in Show kids, Nationally ranked, and Top producers themselves !!   She will long be rememberd by many for her charisma and style.

Her last year being shown she won the Breed at Westminister 1999, in 1998 she was the #3 ranked Malamute in the US , #1 ranked female in 1998. Also, in 1998 she won an All Breed Best In Show, her 2nd Top 20 award, 1st Award Of Merit from the Veteran Class at the 1998 US National and Best Of Opposite at the 1998 Canadian National.

In 1997 she earned an Award Of Merit at the American National and was also the Winner of the Top 20 Competition!!!! First bitch in breed history to win this award, let alone back to back.

Some of Terrapin's accomplishments:
